Ever since we got swine flu back in October, the kids have gone from almost never being sick to being sick all the time. I haven't been much better, getting milder versions of their colds and such until a month ago when I came down with a raging case of strep that even made the doctor wince when she saw my throat. Since then, though, we've all been fine and given the time of year, I was hoping we were done with crap.

Hahahahahaha. Enoch got a runny nose a couple of days ago, then added a cough and a fever of 100.4 yesterday, and today added a wheeze. All of that added up to a doctor's visit, blood tests, x-rays, and a diagnosis of bronchitis along with three prescriptions and a face mask to administer one of them. The next week will be fun for sure. Positive thoughts/prayers/whatever that the rest of us don't get it would be appreciated.

Sounds like our last three months. There has not been longer than a three day stretch when SOMEbody didn't have a fever, runny nose, cough, ear infection, or combination of any of the above, and it's really got me WTFing. Cold and flu season is supposed to be OVER.

Hope Enoch is feeling better very soon. They needed blood tests to diagnose bronchitis?!?

It was just one of many tests they did while figuring out the problem. Before I took him in I worried it might be pneumonia with the way his breathing sounded. What I'd like to know is where he got bronchitis from, and why doesn't Bea have it (yet) when they do everything together?

Well, I did a bit of reading, and acute bronchitis is usually started by a cold virus that gets more serious with infecting the lining of the lungs. Why Enoch got it so bad when Bea has at most a very minor cold, I don't know, but there it is.

Yeah, I know what you mean. During the winter, it was at least understandable, but these last few months have been very WTF. I mean, how did I manage to pick up strep when I hardly go out and no one else got it?
